Meet Ashley Caines

Certified Postpartum Doula

Welcome! I am Ashley Caines of Lily and Oak Postpartum Support.

Born and raised in Saskatoon, SK, I then spent 7 years in BC before moving to Stony Plain in 2020.

I have 2 kids, both who inspired me to choose this career path.  After having my son in 2017, I struggled with new parenthood and Postpartum Anxiety.  Two years later, my daughter was born, which was a whole new world trying to navigate a toddler and a new baby.

My passion lies with families. Postpartum is one of the most vulnerable, yet under-supported times in a person's life. At some point along the way our villages have disappeared. Life has gotten busier and people seem to have less time to support each other. My goal as a Postpartum Doula is to be your village - to make you feel empowered, confident, supported and cared for.

When I'm not supporting families, I am most likely deep into a good book, spending time outside with my partner and kids, or hunting for unique vintage finds.

Testimonials

"Once I met Ashley, I knew she was special. She was immediately warm and kind and not just because she was hired to be, but because she is just that; kind and warm. Ashley was firm, but gentle with me when I was reluctant to give up control of the household chores and forced me to take a break. I don't give up control easily and she knew exactly how to make me feel comfortable with the change.
Our family adores her and our toddler gets excited when I say she is coming over which makes my heart happy.
Ashley is fantastic and I am so grateful I met her."
